APPG hears from experts on bottom trawling

The APPG for the Ocean was delighted to be joined yesterday by Amy Hammond from Oceana, Katie White OBE MP and Jennifer Durden from the National Oceanography Centre to discuss implications of bottom trawling in Marine Protected Areas, following the introduction of Katie White OBE MP's Private Members Bill Marine Protected Areas (Bottom Trawling) Bill, which proposes prohibiting the practice of bottom trawling in Marine Protected Areas in England.

Grateful to our presenters and to the parliamentarians for the great discussions and questions on this vital topic!
