Vice-Chair Baroness Jenny Jones raises APPG during debate

Earlier this week, Baroness Jones, Vice-Chair of the APPG for the Ocean and Green Party Peer, highlighted the APPG in a debate in House of Lords on Environmental Targets (Marine Protected Areas) Regulations 2022.

Baroness Jones also highlighted the APPG’s inquiry report, The Ocean: Turning the Tide on Climate Change, and urged the Government to consider the recommendations. Baroness Jones spoke about the importance of seagrass, saltmarsh, and other types of carbon sinks, and the importance of protecting and restoring these blue carbon habitats.
